SUMPORT at the 5th EU Conference on SUMPs

We joined forces with the Urban Transport Community in Nicosia to discuss our activities and results, in a conference packed with great talks

SUMPORT representatives were at 5th European Conference on SUMPs in Nicosia (Cyprus) on May 14-15, 2018. The event is seen as one of the most important ones in the context of Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans and this year it focused on planning for multimodal cities.

Under the flag of our Urban Transport Community, Interreg MED projects SUMPORT, LOCATIONS, and REMEDIO hosted a session titled "GO SUMP! Innovative planning strategies from the INTERREG MED Sustainable Urban Transport Community".

During the session, participants discussed the activities of SUMPORT, as well as some of the key issues arising from specific challenges in planning for port cities in the Mediterranean, and how sustainable mobility can be integrated in SUMPs.

SUMPORT could count on a very international and close team: the Institute for Transport and Logistics (Communication Leader), Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Technical Leader) and City of Limassol (one of the pilot port cities).
