Durres Municipality organized the 2nd local event on "Promotion and implementation of pilot actions in the framework of the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan"
On March 30th, Durres Municipality organised an event on the implementation its pilot actions in sustainable mobility. Thanks to SUMPORT, the Albanian Municipality is currently working on the creation of its first Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan and the extension of the existing bicycle lane network.
The event focused on the presentation of the current situation and the activities that are planned. The Sustainable Mobility Plan in the city of Durrës will include a Sustainable Transport Study aiming at harmonizing the transport system with urban development. Also, participants could see the three options of bike lanes construction planned in the city.
In this local event many participats took part: representatives of local public institutions, representatives of interested groups and associations, general public, as well as representatives of civic initiatives, who gave feedback on SUMP implementation and bike lane construction in the city of Durres.
